The valve ensures that no air leaks from your shock when you are preparing to use the pump. To install the pump head onto your shock valve, screw the silver lower dial fully onto shock valve stem. Next, screw and tighten the red top knob so that the pump valve head engages the shock valve, this ensures the gauge is pressurised.
The shock pump is not suitable to inflate bicycle tires. It is deisgned to put pressure in the front fork and rear shocks. The pump also helps to balance the pressure with the bleeder valve.
No, but the pump is small and lightweight and easily fits in your pocket or backpack.
The shock pump is compatible with all shocks and forks that use a standard schrader valve.

    Pleasantly surprised

I was previously using a rockshox pump as it came with the purchase of my old mtb. That served me well till it got lost.I was hesitant to buy this pro bike tool shock pump but I bought it anyway because it happened to be on sale. I was pleased surprised when I got it because of the quality of its make and how it was priced lower than fox or rockshox despite its regular price. The only problem I had with it was with the knurled red screw in the middle that releases the valve on the shocks. It screws on the unit but you can totally have it unscrewed and this red screw can get lost, which was exactly what happened with mine.I shot pro bike tool’s customer service an email and they got back with me with a reply not even 24 hours later. Tom of pro bike tools asked me my order number and mailing address and sent me a replacement- no questions asked.I am pleasantly surprised about the product and more pleasantly surprised about pro bike tool’s superb customer service.
