For safety reasons, we do not recommend screwing the CO2 cartridge into the inflator head until required, in order to prevent CO2 from being dispensed while in storage.
Once you have achieved your desired tire pressure, any residual gas in the cartridge should be fully emptied for safety reasons.
Most threadless presta valves have a small screw / threaded section at the very top of the valve stem, which should work with the Pro Bike Tool CO2 inflator. If you purchase the inflator and it is not compatible, send us a message and we will advise you.
The CO2 inflator is compatible with both presta and schrader valves, as the force of the gas expelled from the inflator head forces the valve open.
Yes, but you will need to ensure that the removable element is fully screwed into the valve so that it does not become loose under the pressure of the gas and potentially waste any of the content of your cartridge.
This depends on both the cartridge size and the type of tire. Refer to the chart below to find out what pressures can be achieved. Bear in mind that CO2 gas slowly dissipates through rubber over time. As such, you will find that the standard tire pressure will reduce slightly as the gas dissipates. We therefore recommend that you refill your tires with normal air using a conventional bike pump after your ride.
The CO2 inflator head supplied with the foam sleeve fits any size of threaded CO2 cartridge (12g, 16g, 20g, 25g). However the foam sleeve included is designed to only fit over a 16g threaded CO2 cartridge.
A spare o-ring is included as a replacement for both of the o-rings that are inside the inflator - the one in the nozzle that connects to the tire valve, and the one in the end that you screw the co2 cartridge into. If either of the current o-rings wear out, you may simply insert the new one.
These canisters come threaded or unthreaded, but the video at this site elides this distinction. You need to buy the cannisters from someone else. Be sure to get the threaded ones to go with this inflator.
Maybe they now address this; they hadn’t when I made the mistake of buying unthreaded cannisters.

Haven't had to use it because I bought it
A year in and I have yet to use this on the trail, which is the insurance you buy when you get a nice product like this. I'm still confident in it when the day comes
